Skälva reports from Lunch Beat 12/2 at Studion Kulturhuset

I was impressed by the idea. A lunch break in form of a club. You get food and you get people to dance with. Limited between 12.00-13.00. All of you Skälva-participants know that we've had our own version of this idea (lunch jam).

When I joined the cue outside Kulturhusets Studio and looked at the other people waiting I understood that this isn't just a good idea, it has a great outcome as well. It was a friendly, excited crowd.

Oh, and when I got on the dance floor! It filled up fast and even though I scanned the room for sad people I only found happy faces. How fast we all can swoop to our best party-mood.

As a Skälva-analyzer of the space propose following movements to optimize the experience:

  1. Don't bring your valuables, so you don't need to watch them

  2. Dance

  3. Look at each other, also people you've never seen before

  4. Change places with people

  5. Explore the room

  6. Try to see the whole floor

  7. Dance blindfolded

  8. Use your arms in the vertical (raise them over your head, I mean) to connect with people that is further away from you
